I like good people, cold beverages and meat on a stick...

Location is going to be determining factor.

I've connected with truck drivers as far as Seattle...not a lot of local traffic though.
I'm typically around 2500meters when I get Seattle traffic.

I've also noticed with the guys running CB in the bush that most are running short antenna just to be able to communicate with the group their in instead of 4-5' whips which will get better range.
since switching to my shorty I only ever hear the guys I'm with. I kept breaking my long fiberglass whips.

Myself and the guys that I run with either use 5 or 16
5 I have the best reception and 16 because 4x4=16

you'll be hard pressed to get anyone to give up trail locations on the island here for 2 reasons that I'm sure you'll understand being a former club owner.

1) You're new to the forums and there are watchdogs creeping around on all club forums (most land on the island here is private property)

2) publicly giving up trail information gets them decommissioned or everyone and their dog starts going to them and they turn into highways making them no fun as people who shouldn't be in some of these places start cutting out pinch points and stacking the trails.

If you would like a guided tour I'd be happy to take you out to some of the greasy places.
I've got a pretty lengthy thread going "B&Ms XJ fun"...have a browse through it and check out some pictures....if you're still interested shoot me a PM and I'd be happy to take you out.

I've got my A/C compressor converted, I typically run a 5G tank in the back. I can fill my 35s from 10psi to 30psi in under a minute each (Quicker than most gas station pumps) I already had an air tank (old shop compressor I dismantled) I was also able to reuse the pressure switch. I'm into the whole thing for less than $100.00
