I just bought the 1996 Suzuki X-90 4X4 last week. For thoes who aren't in the know, it's one of only 7927 ever produced. They were built on a Sidekick/Tracker chassis with a 1.6 litre fuel injected 4 cyl. This one has a 5 speed standard transmission (automatic and 2wd versions were also avalible). Due to poor sales and bad reviews they were only produced from 1996 to 1998 making this ugly little 4x4 extremely rare.
The 1982 Suzuki SJ-410 is an early 2nd generation Jimny model imported for the Canadian market. It is the predecessor to the Samurai. The Jimny was never avalible in the U.S. until the Samurai was introduced in 1986 making it quite rare. It has a 1.0 litre carburated 4 cyl and a 4 speed standard transmission. It has solid axles with leaf springs and weighs in at under 2000 lbs.
Had a SJ410, love it. Change that timing belt if it hasn't been done in a while. Love the Suzuki product. Had a 86 long wheel base Samurai for 24 years. It. never, and I mean "never", let me down.
Me too. I love all the early compact Japanese 4x4s. Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, and especially Suzuki's. They are so light weight, cheap on gas, and super reliable. They used to be super cheap too but not so much anymore.
