Yeah, a decent onboard compressor is definitely on my wish list.
Unfortunately, the custom front bumper and winch set-up is higher on the list unless a bunch of cash falls in my lap before tax season is done.

Haven't been through the "A-hole" in a little while but last time I went by, there was a fresh trench cut there to ruin your chance of any full size fun.
I imagine it may have been worked over enough by the locals to get a short wheelbase through, not sure if it would be street truck passable though.
I don't think there's any reasonable way in left on the creek side either. Back in the old days we could get in through there but it's really overgrown now.
Once in a while you can luck out when someone leaves the pit open but you never know if it'll still be open when you get back.
I haven't gone by for a while so maybe someone else who has more current info on it could PM it to you since we pretty much have to keep any access we do have out of the public spaces like FB and forums since they don't stay secret or open very long otherwise. :/
Apparently TW has "plans" for that area anyway so now they're starting to zip it up. There are what looks like new house lots that have been surveyed and cleared in the areas bordering the existing residential ares, all the remaining untouched patches of mature growth are getting logged out right now as well, so it looks like the days are numbered.

No Jay, there is another way one could get to it from the Forebay side. A couple old logging road branches remain from the last time that area was logged and they almost connect. My uncle told me about it a long time ago but it hasn't been used in such a long time it has become very overgrown so you'd never know a road was even there. I don't plan to hack though it though, unless TW decides to block off the existing trail. Just a back-up plan.

It's mostly just the small weed alders growing in on it and some thickets that are reaching for some light. The worst sections for being grown in are are on the northeast part of the loop. In some places I couldn't see 10' in front of me and lot's of island pinstriping there. I wanted to keep it passable because there is an old trail that can be cut through to secret lake in about a day of hacking and lately TW has been trying to trench out the current trail to it because it's becoming a more popular destination for ATV's and offroaders now that a lot of people know about it.

Yeah I imagine there would have been a lot of knockdown from the recent snow and it was already pretty tight in some spots. I cleared it a bit in April 2017 and I doubt very many people bothered to go through it since. That trail has to be hacked back every spring or it turns in to a jungle again.
