That sounds similar to what I'm building over time. My 4runner is going to be an on/off road trip vehicle. Doesn't need to be a super mud bogger or rock crawler. 33" tires on a Toyota and it goes anywhere I want it to already, I'm just doing reliability repairs and small upgrades at this point. Sooner or later I'll be building some drawers and storage in the truck to make setting up camp faster/easier. Eventually might go for rooftop tent and am awning etc. For me it's about getting to remote and beautiful areas and having adventures along the way
Hey man I am also based in Victoria. Jordan river is a great area to explore but remember to bring an extra garbage bag with you! Plenty of junk out that way and if we all take out a little bit extra it'll be no time til it's all clear. I'd be happy to go out with you some time, show you some of the cool spots i've found and explore some new ones
I drove from Naramata to Kelowna via the kettle valley rail and some logging roads up there. Was a fun trip, about 5 years ago I think. Wasn't really looking for much wheeling at the time but found some cool mountain bike trails and structures close to Kelowna! One day I'll be back in the area and explore further

You can explore pretty far on kapoor main. It joins up to lots of territory and as long as there are no locked gates you are free to explore
Hey that's my parking space! :p
