I think so! We were stopped at that fork to take a look and it didn't look fun. I got stuck in the snow the week before so we weren't looking for a repeat. Still a nice day. Catch you out there sometime, Nanaimo Lakes is great.
The Hill 60 area is a great way to start off. Seems to be the go to recommendation. Lots of offshoots too.
I'd definitely recommend going with a friend, going with a friend who has recovery gear is definitely a good idea and if you don't - be smart, and buy a backroads map book! It's about $30 and will really help.
I recommend posting on the site and see if people are available. Met some great people that way.
Awesome rig Shane, you know how to build em.
I'm pretty sure there's some stuff behind Shawnigan up to Lake Cowichan. Haven't been but I've definitely read about it.

We were thinking of fourth lake but decided on some other exploration. The snow stopped us a bit but still great to get out.
