I need to rhinoline (or similar) a 2 or 3 inch strip on the outside of my tailgate where the back canopy window rubs on it and is removing the paint. Is there some kind of DIY solution for this kind of thing or do I need to take it somewhere to get sprayed? And pursuant to that, where would be a good place in or near Victoria to take it to get sprayed?
What about ez liner? It comes in a spray can from lordco and cad tire. It's a rubberized coating similar to rinoliner. And with a few coats, should be just as durable.
Ahh that sounds like a winner. Thanks!
I do recommend priming on bare metal as well, really helped the adhesion when I used it.
Hmmm, it'll be a little bit of everything. In a few small spots it's worn through to the bare metal, in some it's down to the primer, and some would just be on top of the old paint. The bare metal bits are pretty small though, I might be able to get away with just hitting everything with some 220 grit before i spray.
Prep is crucial, I suggest sanding and cleaning REALLY well with brake clean.
