Hi,
Please forgive me first of all. I’m no where near as badass as the rest of you guys. I’ve just got a Ford Escape with two wheel drive. But to be fair I’ve been down my share of sketchy logging roads with it.

I am hoping you guys might be able to shed some light on my next planned trip. I don’t know where to look up if certain logging roads remain closed. On google maps street view I can see the gate is closed at the turn off of pacific marine drive. But I know these gates open and close based on logging activity.
So what I want to know is if this route is possible to take this weekend. Or if I’m gonna hit a locked gate? I would even be happy to just get some advice on how to look this up myself and do the research myself. I know that island timber’s will post openings and closures of certain logging roads, but a lot of them don’t have names, or at least I don’t know how to find their names.
Thanks in advance for the help boys!
That road is called south main and according to my back roads map book, there isn't any gates on it. I wouldn't trust an out dated map book though.
Lens main was open when I drove past it today
