Highway 4 to Port Alberni is currently closed due to a fire on Cameron Bluffs above Cameron Lake. Here is a GPS route for the alternate gravel logging road access for anyone who needs it. The route connects Port Alberni with Duncan / Cowichan, is mostly loose gravel and pretty dusty, but doable for most vehicles. It takes ~2 hours under normal circumstances, but potentially double that given the heavy traffic at the moment.
