AM planning on being up that way from the 17 to 20, and was planning on taking a friend to Avatar Grove, Lonely Doug and Eden Grove while I was up there.
if you go let me know what the situation is out there, I heard there was a gate closed at the 33km mark of Gordon River road but that was before the date that map was made
Will do. Should be back by Monday the 21. If I get that far along the Gordon River Rd I'll be sure to take note.
Sincerely hope there is no gate or if there is it's open. It's unreal how much of the south island has been locked out to the public over the past decade.
Just saw a post on a FB 4x4 Island group... "was there a month ago. UNLOCKED gates on Gordon main, was able to go all the way from Port Renfrew to lake Cowichan."
