We did the shaw valley to Nanaimo lakes main last year....tried early in the year, but its one of those places you come around a corner and there is 3 ft of wet snow...I think there was 3 bad spots, where bridges were missing...lockers are a minimum....I don't think we winched....but one locker and a winch would be alright....it a trail I wouldn't do with only 1 wheeler...2-4 is good, its 26km from cowichan lake to Nanaimo lakes main...
I was told one of the creeks is washed out bad now...a quad can barley get through cause the drop off....I will find out for my self when the snow starts melting

Looks like a good challenging trail, definitely post updated pics if you hit it again.
I really want to do this run, would be awesome. Almost there
did this trail again both ways this weekend....no snow....crazy to be open this early without snow....and im the only one that did damage...I guess its just my style of wheeling..... trail is called "Desante"....we say that so other don't know where it is....not for general public knowledge...or it will be shut sooner. I will see if other got pics....I didn't winch....but I wouldn't go with out...
