Hey guys I'm new to this site and some what new to wheelin I have a stock 1988 Toyota pick that I'm going to build up. when I got this truck all the coolant had leaked into the engine oil ( that's why this build has the nick name chocolate milk ) I'll post a pic of what it looks like and what I'm doing to it always interested in hearing from others with tips tricks and ideas
Sounds like the typical issue of timing chain slapping against its cover, which eventually put a hole in the water pump housing, allowing coolant to leak into the oil. I'm rebuilding a 22RE right now that had this happen to it. Pretty simple fix, just need to I tall new timing chain, guides, cover and water pump. Definitely will need to pull the oil pan and all the metal debris falls down there and can clog your oil pickup.
thanks gear low that's what this one did too that problem is all fixed up now just working on rebuilding the front axle now and building trusses for it now and trying to figure out what do upgrade diff gears or tranfercase or get lockers so many choices so little money lol
