On thursday May 17 we went for a first time for us drive to Nanaimo Lakes.
Were surprised when we were stopped at the gate on Nanaimo River Road and charged 2 bucks to carry on.
Didn't think to ask the nice lady toll collector the reason why.
Does anyone know whats up with that?
Actually if paying a couple bucks would give us more access to gated roads I would be OK with that,
don't like it but would pay for the enjoyment of seeing more of this beautiful Island....Ed
It's paid camping up there, they also expect all visitors to pay for the day as well. It's to help keep the area well kept.
