Last weekend my 4.0 tj gave out on trail it started to bog and cut power on acceleration it would cut on and off till it dies and wouldn’t start back up currently it does start but still has issue it’ll idle but when there’s load it bogs and cuts till it eventually dies, it having 260k miles I thought it may be time but compression still seems fine new coil pack on no difference. I’m thinking possible something in the fuel system any ideas ? (No cel)
sounds like a fuel pressure issue.
either a clogged up filter or a dyeing pump, or a clogged up sock in the tank.
in 2014 I had to have Shane and the guys drag me out of hill 60 cause I had an inch of mud built up in the gas tank of my YJ
I believe the TJ's no longer have the return line on the fuel rail, so there is no FP regulator to worry about.
start with the filter, they are cheep.
