Hey all, anybody heading out tomorrow? Thinking about cruising Nanaimo River road to Lake Cowichan Area, anyone know any good trails around there? All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
I did a nice little loop around Lake Cowichan and up to Tuck Lake a couple weeks ago. Lots of water crossings, but otherwise not very difficult. We did have to winch once, but that was for a little side mission, not the main route. I’ll PM you the Gaia route if you’re interested.
Good morning, my son Inlaw just informed me about Gaia ... ya ole school I’m gonna download it and yes for sure any ideas are much appreciated thank you.
Hey all! New to the forum. I've had an '11 Xterra for several years (mostly stock) and just picked up a RTT for overnighters with my boys so we can do a bit of exploring this year. Alex, I'd love to get that Gaia route to Tuck Lake assuming you think I can get in there with my stock vehicle. Cheers.
I'm not sure how the snow would be back there (I imagine it's pretty wet - hope you have good tires) but I'd recommend a small lift for Tuck. It has a few gnarly spots but is pretty mild most of the way.
Gotcha, will be doable then. I don't have the GPS route but it's pretty easy to get there if you get a backroads mapbook and come in through Youbou. Either way, get the backroads mapbook if you don't already have one!
Yo anyone up for sherk lake today? Going out this afternoon for some fishing, pallet fire and beers!🤘🏼 Whos with me? (Fully responsible for taking out what we bring in ofc:)
Gah, Jeep is on the mend and repairing tomorrow (well, diagnosing) otherwise I'd be in!

Good morning again. I just downloaded Gaia so how do we share destinations?
I sent you a link in your PMs. Should be able to open that for in Gaia and see the route.
Good afternoon!
I’m planning to head to maple lake between courtenay and cumby sat. Anyone interested?

Welcome to the forum!
Thanks, Moose. I should have specified it'll be a trip when the weather is a bit better and it warms up a little.

Awesome, thanks. I have the latest edition of BCBR so will use it as my guide for exploring. Cheers.
Hey 👋 Morgan, welcome and hope to see ya out there. Cheers 🍻
