Mt. Prevost and Mt. Sicker

Hey everyone. I was looking to drive around on prevost and sicker this weekend and was wondering how difficult and safe it is. I have a pretty much stock 06 4runner and haven't had much experience offroading. Would going alone be fine as long as I don't go on any trails that are too crazy or would I be better off waiting for a weekend when more people are heading out? Also I've heard there are some cool abandoned mines, are those pretty easy to find and get to or not so much
