Heading to the hills around Sooke, it’s been a couple weeks since I’ve been out but planning on starting around Anderson rd and just exploring. Any one can come but I may be checking out some more difficult trails. We can meet at A&W in Sooke or at Anderson Rd. More details as we get closer to Sunday.
I'm interested, time you planning to hit the trail also how much of a game plan have you got so far?
Hay, I forgot to update this, my Blazer is still waiting on parts so I’m not able to go out this weekend. I’ll be out next week for sure. I’ll be out Cowichan on Saturday and probably Sooke on Sunday.
Stacey & I are thinking about going out to explore some more of the backroads/trails in Cowichan tomorrow depending how we feel.
We may also go poke around the Oliphant Lake area some more as well. In any case, we're staying below 500m to avoid snow.
I'd always rather be running with multiple trucks so we can help each other out if someone gets stuck or broken down.
We're usually just looking for cool places to go, not to beat the shit out of my daily, so we don't do anything too sketchy offroad.
Keep in mind I'm only on a 2" lift, 29" tires and no lockers or winch yet, but it is pretty capable as it is now with the OME suspension.
We have this Monday off as well but most people are working and it limits where we can go without interfering with forestry op's.

Yeah, Anderson got dug up, probably gonna be a little while till it's reworked but blueberry is doable again. :(
Stacey & I are probably going to be staying in town today catching up on house chores and general adulting.
We're likely going to wait until Monday before going back out but when we do we'll be going north instead of west.

Planning on doing the Remembrance Day run on Saturday up Mt Bolduc. Thanks Nick and Rob for the heads up about Anderson road. That sucks.
