On Sunday morning im planning to complete a trail between Hill 60 and Mt Prevost, I found this trail about 3 years ago but my rig was still stock and I didn't trust it. Last weekend I found it again and was getting into it but time was against me and I had to turn back. I plan on a full day out there this Sunday and was wondering if anyone wanted to teg along?. I've been with out 4WD for about 3 years but recently had a ton of work done to my rig and it's ready for almost everything. Would like to meet more people that are into wheeling and want to get out lots.
once I get my lift done, i'm gonna try and come out. take pics, really wanna see what your rig is like in action, looks great.
there is a trail but most of it a 2 wheeler could do
I've done a bit of it and haven't ran into any issues yet, going to be a good test and hope I make it. I'm hoping to have some fun around Hill Crest after as well. Just learning what's possible and haven't been let down yet.
Robin Swanson, thanks and I agree that it looks good and think the guys at Westshore Spring and 4X4 did an amazing job. Let me know when your lift is done and I'll definitely be heading out lots.
You meeting somewhere first? If so where!?
Got no meeting time or place, but if someone wants to meet up we could come up with a plan. I'm hoping to be leaving Duncan before 10:30 to head to the trail head.
Seems like a good time. Where would ya like to meet? Hill 60 turnoff?
That sounds good, hoping to pick up some food before so we can stop somewhere for lunch, 10:30 ok with you? Prepare for some West Coast pinstriping lol
1030 at lake cowichan hill 60 turnoff. Sounds good.
so whats this trail you are talking about? they have dug out quite a bit of the access to the 222 road and chemanious main line. just curious as this is the area i wheel alot in and know everything like my hand!
The way around last time I was out that way
We found a way that gets you to Hillcrest. We never made it to Prevost but got to the clay pits and where close to Sicker. From Hillcrest I do know a way into Prevost but may wait a couple weeks to go back that way.
What clay pits ?
There are some clay pits behind Big Sicker that we found. I found some trails that my rig was unable to do before but now it's capable. I've herd of allot of places around that area from some of my buddy's That found when they where running some serious gear and I'm now able to find some of the spots that I've only heard about in the past.
I know were the clay pits on sicker are they were the settling ponds for the Lenora mines the soil is still toxic .....there is a mud pit on the side of the road going up to Sicker and from hill 60 over to hill Crest is a simple drive along the hydro line you can also get up Breton from hill 60
