Hello all, first post here i stumbled across you guys while trying to find another VI offroad Community.
My girlfriend and i have been trying to find a back route access to be able to Ski Tour Green Mountain this winter. Since Nanaimo Lakes main is always closed after hunting season. But we have had no luck accessing it from the Nanaimo side. Do any of you know a route we might be able to take in from the Cowichan/ port Alberni?

Hey welcome to the site. I don't have an answer for you but I wouldn't mind knowing myself - I've been wanting to get up Green mountain for a while now, looks like an awesome place.
The only way I know, you have to go to Shenton lake via "Highway mans trail", then go south which puts you behind the gates. Not stock/full size friendly.
ill take a look into that this weekend, not sure if ill be able to make it! But im smart enough to know not to push it to hard.
