I was at Canadian tire at the beginning of the week and they have Hilifts on sale for $60.00, you probably wont find used for any less and I bought my 30' 20,000lb straps from Gregg distributor for around $30.00. Also 4.5 ton recovery straps. $15 each at Demex in Parksville.
On the Canadian tire website you can add a sales alert, so when an item you're after in coming up on sale they'll fire you an email. I got my 10,000 lbs towrope on sale for a very good price. I also do this with tools etc. stuff I know I'll need but can wait a few weeks for.
Yea CT has some good deals. Their regular prices are just meh, but give it some time and you'll often see killer prices come up. I bought a full socket set with all the different sockets and wrenches you would ever need for like $60, regular ~$250

Ya tools especially, up to 75% off at times. It's ridiculous. I also get engines oils, coolant shop rags etc. on sale there as well. Good deals.
