Hey guys, new here, I just bought my truck today and I'm hoping to start exploring the island soon. But first I would like to take my girl out somewhere like an open field and just stargaze. Any good spots??

That's a tough one man - not a ton of open fields around there, or anything that I'd consider 'off road'. I would suggest mt doug or island view beach as far as pedestrian areas are concerned for stargazing.
All of the best spots are up island though, away from the cities.

Island View beach is a great night spot for stargazing, not so much offroad though. Get's pretty windy, but you can find some space from others down there most nights.
