I also thought it would suck, the normal Jeep guys seem to talk garbage about it but so far I have found it quite useful. Even with over 300,000km my transfer case clutch pack seems to engage and disengage just peachy.
My plan is still to swap to an NP231 from an XJ at some point, but for now the quadra trac seems to be just fine.
Howdy Mark. Welcome. I don't have a Powerstroke but I do a little cruising the backroads in my Duramax from time to time. I find it quite heavy and unable to do the really rough stuff but it's nice to have all the torque. Nice to see another coal burner on the site
I just purchased a '00 WJ Grand a couple weeks ago for a comfy winter beater. Has the Quadra-Trac 2 (full time 4wd and 4lo). Totally stock its been pretty impressive so far.
The full time 4wd seems to be really good at kicking in and out when needed, and if it's really gnarly locking it into 4lo works like a traditional transfer case.
I've been pleasantly surprised with how it does.
Hi Vince, welcome to the site. Things have been a little quiet around here the last few months. And with fire season here now alot of us poor south islanders start seeing alot of gate closures. I don't head north much but Nanaimo has lots to offer. Hopefully some folks from the area reach out!

Hey I did the same thing about 2 months ago lol. Bought a 2011 WR250R to explore and scout for hunting etc.
I’d be down for some dual sport shenanigans
