I'd avoid them. I owned a 2006 SR5 4.0L auto 4wd. I paid $16,500 for it in 2009 with 156km. Sold it in 2015 with 260km. Many, many issues along the way. In the end I was tired of throwing money at a truck with a rotting frame. It was a pain to wrench on (rust), and never really drove great (steering & driveline vibrations).
Replaced it with a 2010 Frontier Pro-4x 4.0L 6spd 4wd, Much happier with it.
My Frontier's stock size is 265/75R16. I went with P265/75R16 Hankook Dynapro ATMs. Been running them a few years without issue. It has a fullsize spare, I also pack plugs and an inflator.
I had a Tacoma with 10 ply Bf Goodrich KOs on it for five years. It was such a harsh ride, the extra weight really killed the fuel economy and braking.
I live in Nanaimo but head out that way often, lots to see in the woods surrounding the valley and the gates seem to stay open.
These are great vehicles! Good luck with the sale.
Nice to see that area, haven't been out there in a few years now.
