I'd be willing to come up island to go exploring with you. I would rather go out with another truck than alone. Getting stuck without help miles in the bush is no fun.(talking from experience, lol) I am always more cautious when by myself as to not get stuck or break something, sometimes this limits my exploration.
I like my big truck, yes it doesn't fit in tight spaces but the long wheelbase makes it a good climber. I ride in style and comfort. It'll haul anything in or out of the bush. Logging roads are ok and some of the off chutes can be fun. I have seen quite a few big 4 door 4x4 f350,dodge3500,chev3500's around covered in mud and looking well used. Where are these guys going I wonder? Guess I should chase one of these guys down & ask them. Thx everyone for the suggestions, & I'll definitely be checking some of these places out but I'll be looking for something more challenging than a logging road.
So it's Saturday morning & still no takers on a guide for the newbie. I don't like going out alone in unfamiliar territory so instead I'll do the loop on my motorcycle. With a weeks notice I was hoping to get a few people interested in exploring with me this weekend but I guess my truck is too big to hang with the majority of folks on this site. Must say I'm a little disappointed. You probably won't see many more posts from me. Thx & have a great safe weekend all.
There are lots of photos of full size pickups going to some cool places....I find it hard to believe these are logging road pics but if they are then cool I'll check them out also. There must be other members who have full size trucks like mine that go out. These are the folks my quiry was more directed to. I wasn't looking to go out with a little toy jeep that would fit in my box, you're right you would never get me unstuck. Am I on the wrong site? Is there a 4x4 site more geared to my rig?
