Turns out the diff i through under it has 4:10 gears, works a bit better then the 3:73.
Today i will give installing the gears a go in the rear d44. should be easier to do on a set of stands then in the jeep.
The rear d44 with the 4:10 is for sale. i would like to keep the axle shafts for spares, but for the right price i could let it all go.
So i managed to get the Jeep rolling in rear wheel drive the other day. till i get my gearing done.
I started the day at 11 and the jeep was on stands with o wheels and two blown diffs. i managed to get the front wheels mounted and its just a empty housing for now. the rear i completely swapped out a full rear end for another one that works. Now to do the gears in the original diff with some new 4:88's.
It was a lot of work and along day for doing it solo.
I have my tablet with back country nav mounted overhead, where my rear view mirrir is.
The Sports and saharas come with a read D44 and a front d30
rubis come with front and rear d44's
The front d30's are sort of a hybrid d30/44 though. same tubes just different pumpkin

even better, just get a good back country gps app or sd card for your gps
i have a tablet mount where my rear view mirror used to be. works much nicer then looking at paper maps
